Aligned with our vision to provide opportunities for youth and young adults to excel in their academic pursuits, the R3 Student Outreach Learning Academy prepares individuals for employment or higher education through the acquisition of their high school diploma!
Plus enrolled participants can utilize our R3 Student Centers for connectivity including Wi-Fi use, quiet study space, laptop use and other resources Monday-Friday from 10:00am-5:00pm.

Students will complete twenty-two courses in order to receive a High School Diploma. Each course contains multiple weeks of material. The overall pace depends on student ability and time the student puts into the program. Students move at different paces so program staff are always prepared to assist students who work at any speed.

Enrolled students have a total of six months to complete the program. With this being a self-paced program a early completion is possible.

The R3 Student Outreach Learning Academy follows Recommended HSP requirements set forth by the Texas Education Agency. Our virtual curriculums are designed to effectively teach, train, equip and test students through all required TEA courses including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Good Citizenship and Electives.

Our school's curriculum is completed fully online with the option to utilize in-person resources.

The cost to obtain a High School Diploma through R3SO Learning Academy is $500. However, scholarship applications are available and are need based.

We accept applications from youth 16-24. For youth 16-17 a strenuous circumstance application must be filled out to show there is a difficult performance like pregnancy, bullying or mental health that is forcing a student out of traditional school. We can also admit a select number of adults over the age of 24 when referred to our community partners at the NHUMC Ministry Center.

Yes. Tuition covers all costs associated with the program including graduation costs. Cap and gown use is covered, but if a student wants to keep their cap and gown after graduation there is an additional fee.
While scholarships are available, they cover the entire cost of tuition. They are need based so a formal application is required and income verification will be requested like pays stubs, W-2 forms, tax returns proof of government funds.

Because we are a self-paced virtual program, attendance is tracked through weekly check-ins. Students must check in online with their support advocates three times per week at a minimum. They must also complete one subject per week or its equivalent to stay in good standing. VOE's are provided at enrollment and can be requested monthly.

Enrollment is ongoing, year round. We are closed during major winter holidays and two weeks in the summer. Outside of that, we always accept applications and enroll students.
